- Open your cPanel by going to http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel.
- Enter your default website username and password.
- Click on either 'Backup Wizard' or 'Backups'
in the 'Files' section. Going to 'Backups' is
faster, if you know what you are doing, but the first few times
you may want to go to 'Backup Wizard' which will take you
step-by-step through the backup process. Both ways offer the
same choices.
- Full Backup:
Do NOT choose 'Full Backup' unless you can save to a 'Remote FTP
Server'. If you try to Generate a 'Full Backup' to 'Home Directory,
this will merely put a copy in your account folder, which doesn't do
any good if our server crashes, and will about double your disk
space usage which could be costly.
- Partial Backups: This is usually the best
choice for backing up your files. All of you will want to
'Download a Home Directory Backup'. Save a copy to your local
PC. If you have any MySQL Databases, Email Forwarders/Filters,
or other files listed in this backup section, you will want to
save a copies of these too. Be sure to pay attention to where
you save these files on your PC so you can find them for a
'Restore' if need be.

- To Restore a backup, find the backup file(s) you
previously saved to you local PC by clicking on
'Browse'. Then 'Upload' the backup, which will overwrite
your existing website files. So be SURE you are OK with
losing any information on your current website that is
not in the backup.
